Are these good lights to use in a garage?

Metalux by Cooper is a well known brand with a good reputation.
Those will work best on a white ceiling, but will also be ok in an unfinished one.

Good thanks...I am planning to purchase 12 or 15 for a 30x40x12 shed with a metal white interior.

I installed eight of the Metalux/Cooper fixures, also sold by Lowes in my 20x20 2-car garage last Saturday, two rows of 16' over each bay. The fixtures assemble quick but the ballasts are China'loca but I expected that for 25.00 a pop.

I have Metalux in my shop from Lowes for 7 years now.I haven't even had to replace a bulb and there is no radio noise.Very pleased!!!!

I have the Metalux 4' with 2 T8 lamp strip lights from Menards with the wire guards to protect the bulbs.

Metalux is my second choice in fluorescent lighting fixtures, if they are a decent price go for it.

Don't be surprised if the ballasts don't last long. I bought 5 and had to replace 2 ballasts in a few months.

I put 9 of them in last fall, no problems, great light, even in very cold temps.
