Looking for a 100 amp 1 phase 240 volt or higher bypass meter can? Does this exist, I can find a 200 amp bypass all day but then I have to up everything else, from the feed to the supply lines to the load center and they want 3/0 copper. I rather pay a bit extra for the 100 amp bypass meter can!

Bypass? Only meters I know of with bypass handles are 320. Got a pic of the 200? Also thinking no reason you can't run 100 amps off of 200 amp metercan.

Since there is no fusing in them there is no reason you can't use the 200 amp can. It's a 200 amp max right? You can put less than 200 but not more.

The main power company here requires bypass meter sockets for all new installs. You can get 200 amp versions at home improvement stores.

Siemens makes a 135 amp meter socket with what they call a horn bypass.

Are you limited by space,i see no reason other than that to not use the 200 amp one,its only a few inches bigger

This is complete ********. They are wrong. You certainly CAN use a 200A meter pan with everything else being "100A". The smallest thing in the system is what determines service size.I can use the 200 amp can but the local utility wants everything rated for the 200 amp can meaning 3/0 cable. If I can find a 100 amp bypass they will let me use my existing setup.
I have installed a 200A bypass meter pan for a 30A service on a street light pole. Completely legal and correct.
To answer your question, no, I have never seen a 100A lever-bypass meter pan. Hence my previous comment.

Horn bypass is completely different. It's basically a standard residential pan with little prongs sticking out at the lugs.Siemens makes a 135 amp meter socket with what they call a horn bypass.
In my area ANYTHING not considered a dwelling requires a lever bypass meter.
