Good morning, just got my hands on a gerstner & sons tool chest and I broke it down mainly to restore the hardware and install new felt. I’ll be putting it back together soon and wanted to know if anyone had a better way of installing the split rivets. I restored a Union chest months back so I’ve been here before and I can get them in tightly but it’s very tedious. Has anyone figured out a way to use an existing tool around the shop to make install more efficient? I know they used a specific tool for this way back when but this will probably be the last box I’ll do so I’d rather just find a way to use a tool I already have. I appreciate any help.
