Metric swivel

So changing the accumulator in the transmission of my truck made me realize that I need a metric set of swivel sockets. They won't get used much but will see some use. Does harbor freight carry them? If so are they of atleast decent once in a while use quality?

Cheapest i'd get would be gearwrench. You wont be out much more than $30. Alternately you can buy a higher quality brand like Snap-On (through ebay) or Proto in singles. Guessing its a domestic truck so primarily just 10, 13, 15.

Yep. Instead had to jack up the transmission and remove crossmember. Because even my socket that I cut to only have 1/8 inch of actual hex part couldn't clear. But my standard set of swivels cleared but weren't 13mm

What size drive and chrome or impact? Hf sells impact and I would not buy them. If you want impact look into sunex or gray pneumatic. If you want chrome gearwrench
Or look into a set of wobble extensions

I would recommend 1/4 universal from gearwrench
They provide much greater clearance 5-15mm

3/8 offers more torque but bigger than 1/4 also most commonly had available gearwrench makes decent set for price

Snap on is king on these sockets imo but pricy

You can get the metric 3/8 impacts in a nice case for about $70-80 shipped. The Gearwrench chrome ones **** balls compared to the Sunex.

I believe Shockwave was referring to chrome universals. I agree that Matco is king of impact universal sockets.

I agree on this for impact swivel
But I am referring to chrome swivels because they offer the best clearance of any swivel

I use my matco 1/4 pinless every day it's one of those exclusive matco items that are must have

Never had any issues with my SK and Snap On swivels. I don't think I would buy anything other than those two brands in swivels.

Buy 13mm - 19mm only, and skip any sizes you don't need. You can get a GW set in 3/8 or something like snap on in 2-3 sizes for same money. You will overlap with 16/19 with the SAE set, so there's only a couple unqiue sizes. Lastly, the 1/4 set in snap on may be more worthwhile place to park some money--and it has sizes up to 15mm.
