Real "Metro" shelving or one of the many copycats? I'll second turbowoodworker's suggestion to use a mallet. Another possibility is that you're unknowingly mixing Metro and other copycat brands of uprights. Metro and the copies look alike and I'm not sure if the Metro uprights are branded (Metro shelves certainly are). Metro brand shelving has one piece uprights whereas some of the copies use multi-piece uprights that screw together. I'd check them with a ruler to find out if the uprights are the same.
Has anybody noticed discrepancy's in measurements of metro shelving? i am trying to get my shelves to be level but as i measure from the top of all 4 polls and when i snap the clips on i notice 2 polls are 1/4 inch off on the clips than the others i move the clips it just gets worse seems odd to me this should be? they all are 72 in. tall i'm baffled i know they aren't upside down cause all the bottoms have threads to put wheels in which is what i have them on or could they have put the threaded ends upside down? i assume theirs no difference between the tops and bottoms so couldn't get them reversed ? hope somebody's
