Mezzanine

Hi all
I finished my 30 x 40 garage. Pics soon...... The building is 20 tall and I want to build a mezzanine in the back half of the build to be used as a bar / lounge. I have found some companies that sell steel products but was wondering if anyone has built one using wood materials?

How much clear span are you desiring or are you willing to accept posts

The span would be about 14 ft.

I priced used metal mezzanine. HUGE $ and a minimum 6 week lead time. I just built a 50'x 8/10' (jut out for the stairs and landing). Was 1/3 of the cost of metal and we constructed it with 2"x12" on 16" centers...I could put anything I want up there. Made our own lam'beam supported with two jack posts. I'll put a thread together on my barn build soon.
