Thought this was cool. Just was looking around on craigslist again and found another tool board that was posted. It would be awesome to pick that up for my boyfriend to match with the other tool board I had just got him, but he isnt being so nice right now, so I dont think he needs another one. Plus who knows what the other one looks like now that i got him since it was just sitting on his bedroom floor last time I was over. Not worth wasting my time over if he is just going to abuse the first one I got him. Thought someone else may be intrested in checking this out.

Is this for hand tools? I emailed the guy about it, but who knows how long it will take to hear something back.

Yes it is addictive. I have two SO boards.

That one is for hand tools but it's a speciality board for brake tools.

In my opinion, no.

I have maybe 30 or so tool boards now, and have sold another 20 or so. If I am really desperate for a particular board to complete a set, maybe I will splurge and do $75. But most boards are bought and sold around the $30 mark.

SO prices have their own rules, though.

LMAO. Well I just happenend to scam over by the tools just to see what may be on there. Try telling my stubborn *** boyfriend how lucky he is. I stopped buying him things unless it is for christmas because he is unappriciated of the time I take to go look at yard sales/easte sales and searching on the internet for the right tools.

I was kind of wondering the same thing, if it was worth it. I emailed the guy and the most he would take is $60. That last one I bought was $30 as the guy just wanted it gone.

I myself couldn't see buying that particular one since it is for brake tools as Toolhorder mentioned.

The fact most techs rarely even use a brake spoon (for drum brakes) is of concern. Brake tools have evolved quite a bit over the years, with new tools popping up and old ones fading away.

That particular board is highly likely to go mostly unused.

I paid over $80 for my Snap-on screwdriver board if I remember correctly. I'd buy the brake board at $60. I dunno about others but the vintage board and screwdrivers are never going to be used again just displayed.
