You two guys especially should appreciate this, but others might, too. I know I do. This is from the Wright website:

Made Entirely in the U.S.A.

From the design and engineering to the forging and finishing, all work on Wright tools is performed in the United States by skilled American workers. We do not use foreign blanks or forgings. Even the steel we use is American-made.

-Forge to finish USA and no cheeseball lower end *****-stuff available at Costo, baby!

Okay!!!! I am starting to get up on this.

How do I go about acquiring a paper copy of their catalog?

We have a Wright dealer on here: TRTOOLSUPPLY. He can send you one...mine is on the way. He's also quite a nice fellow.

I don't really have the budget for new tools. But, based on Wright's commitment to being 100% USA, I am making a conscious choice to make sure any new tools I need will be priced and hopefully acquired from them, first.

I portion a large part of my check to tools. I use them to make a living though, and they are a write off for me. I buy US when I can afford to. I may buy less tools coming up, but they will be tools that feed American families.

PS: Why are there three smilies for Canada, but none for US?

Ya just HAD to go and piss in the Post Toasties, didn't you.... now Merk will be emailing Wright's customer support asking them verify that no foreign vehicles were recycled as Wright tools.

The steel in that Celica most likely came from here in the First place!

Say it isn't so, Hiball! Besides, with your bright new avatar and all, Wright wasn't going to stay under the radar for long.

The catalog that Richard sent me is thick as a phone book...I just got it and my ratchet a few minutes ago when I finally went down to the mailbox. I will have to take pics of the ratchet...beautiful chrome, absolutely micro-small head, tiny body, and a 3/8 drive plug. Can you say "limited access problem solver?":bounce:

Oh boy... You are no longer my internet buddy Bull. Btw I requested a copy of there catalog when i spoke with a rep and when it arrived it rather thin.... :headscrat It was a Cd/DVD.

I just got a couple grand worth of Snap-On sockets (all my 1" drive SAE and Metric, 3/4" drive Metric, 12pt 3/4" drive SAE). I'm going to price these with Wright and see what they say. Might have to see what my SO rep says about returns on unopened items.

I would be interested in pics of the ratchet also, Is it there double paw design or there traditional one? I have a 1/4 body with a 3/8 drive coming to my house as we speak. Post some pics.... and put me in touch with this GJ Wright Salesman, I had no knowledge that we had such a thing here. Thanks...

This is sort of off topic, but relevant to this conversation. Most people probably think hiball is nuts for trying to keep wright out of the spotlight in order to keep the prices down on ebay etc. But I have often thought about how many times I'm on ebay and see things go for cheap one day, and then after that item is discussed on here it goes for twice as much the next day. So how much do you think our little forum contributes to the inflation of tool prices everywhere?:headscrat

I got that Wright ratchet as a gift. What a nice little piece! It absolutely is a micro head. I have sometimes wondered how they get that mechanism into such a small space!

You lucky son-of-a-gun...I am projected to have Lint Pockets for 2010 :lol_hitti

About to upload some pics. I had the ratchet open to put a small amount of lube inside, but did not think to snap pics until it was back together.

I am no photog, but I think these will do for a quick view of the ratchet. I included a dime in a couple shots to show just how small the head is. I just had and then sold a SO 3/8 drive in 1/4 body flex head ratchet, and the head on this one is much smaller.

The catalog is nice and thick, too...like a small phonebook. Will provide hours of throne reading time!

Thats the same ratchet i have enroute to me now. I believe there screwdrivers are made by Pratt-Read. I went ahead and snapped some pics of my 3/8" ratchet, Its the older design but still a workhorse. I could only use a penny for size reference, I dont have Bulls type of finances.

I'm going to supplement Bull's pictures by showing this comparison picture of limited access 3/8" drive ratchets that should show how much slimmer the Wright is.

From left to right is a Snap-on FK80, Wright 3430, and a Snap-on FC936.

TR Tool Supply is a great tool dealer and all around tool enthusiast although I may be biased since I received the above ratchet from him free by winning a Christmas tool give away contest.

Back to talking about Wright many of my Impact socket sets are Wright that I was able to buy new for pennies on the dollar from ebay and they have all held up as well as any other socket I have.

Richard might be popping his head into this thread to make himself known and answer questions. In the meanwhile, I did include in my pics one of the business cards that was stuck to the price list I received...his e-mail address is on it for your convenience. :)

Nah, went to the doc about long throne times. He said use metomucel (spelling). Dude...in and out in like 3 minutes. That's from entering, to the deed, to washing the hands for 20 seconds before leaving. lol

sorry to be graffic. My magazine pile is growing and growing. I need a week of rain to catch up.

That is a great thing, I've been looking for a Wright wrench set because I need another wrench set. Now I want one of those ratchets, saw them at Harry Epstein's before and resisted the urge but the urge is returning.

Howdy Fellas......Bull suggested that I drop in and answer some questions.
First..I been hanging out elsewhere

Second...you can't hardly run a business and hangout on a tool/garage forum,it's more fun to hang out and shoot the breeze!

Third...everyone gets at least a 22% discount on the Wright tools and FREE shipping if the order is over $199.00 and is from the lower 48 states.

Fourth....feel free to email me if you have any question or need a quote on Wright tools or the other lines we carry such as Armstrong,Gearwrench,KD,Allen,Martin,Knipex,Witte...etc..

Bull is right try to buy a good quality tool... be it used or brand new but buy QUALITY and you won't regret it.

Thanks....Richard (TR Tool Supply)
