About 14 years ago when I started working in a metal shop for the first time, I had to purchase some of my own tools. I ordered an 8" Fowler caliper, but a guy that had his own shop gave me 3 mics of his. He told me that he goes to the flea market and looks for used tools. He then pulled out of his pocket some gages and said "I always carry these with me". A year later when he was leaving I gave them back, but he told me to keep them "I probably have another 5 sets down my shop". No case with them and no name on them. Any idea of who makes them and how old they might be? They're accurate to 1 tenth, Fwiw. The place I now work calibrates them annually and they don't get rejected.
