Vintage music tools count, right?
I fell into a cool pair of old microphones. A Unidyne 55 and a Turner Dynamics 33d.
I’ve got a guy who thinks he can actually test them to see if they work.
I’d like to clean them up without destroying them.
Anyone into this stuff? How best to proceed? Full dismantle and polish?

I have a friend who collects old parking meters and restores them. He's told me it can be a delicate operation to get them cleaned up without damaging them. I can imagine those mics would be a little easier since what they really need is a good polishing. Not sure about the innards though

Cracked these guys open. That fabric on the inside of the grill is crazy fragile and appears glued on. I’ll need to adjust my polishing plan if I can’t save/replace the fabric.
Going to meet up next week with a friend who can test these and formulate a plan.
