looking for mid depth sae 3/8 drive sockets. does anyone have a set or know where to find some? prefer the craftsman but open to others.

Have you tried you local Craigslist website? They usually have a solid selection of Craftsman sets.

Ahhh, didn't think of SK in connection with Sears.
I haven't really seen any semi-deeps on CL, though.
I think only true addicts like us have them (and I only have 6... :) )
Most of the truck brands do make them. Mine are SO.

sk makes semi deep in 1/4 chrome and 3/8 impact. i could go impact but would really like chrome. if someone could post cman part numbers i may be able to order individuals.

Actually the SK standard 3/8dr SAE deep 3/8 thru 9/16 are pretty much are mid-sized compared to the rest. Here's a pic of how they stack up against the Craftsman. I always keep these three SK's handy for just this purpose.... and I have plenty sets of these three sizes available.

Yeah, your right. And I've also noticed the same thing on newer Blackhawk sockets.

thanks guys i have plenty of those smaller sizes. i was just trying to find the larger ones and thought a set would be easier to find. not sure but i think the cman ones may have been slightly shorter. sk also started making those smaller sizes as extra long wich is the same length as the larger sizes.

I have a set of husky pro semi-deeps there finished in black and there 3/8 drive 6 point. they have held up pretty well. you could probably find them at your local home depot?
