The williams taiwan sockets are shite for what they charge .
carlyle are very nice sockets with good coverage/rail set options, toptul decent too . Doubt you really even need that quality level .

On Amazon I can get the Williams 1/4 inch set for $45 and the 3/8 set for $100. I’m assuming they are Taiwan for that price, which I’m cool with.

Other than Carlyle, what are the other Taiwan brands that can meet or beat the Williams priced above?

I would drop Williams USA from that list. I bought some from Amazon and returned them because they were a very sloppy fit on fasteners. Proto makes a much better product IMHO.

I'd be picking up one of the sets on holiday display at Home Depot right now.

Tens of thousands of pipe fitters, welders and other skilled industrial craftsmen have the Husky brand tools in their job boxes. They use them, beat on them and work them hard everyday and they hold up. If they didn't, they would be buying them and Husky would be trash by now.

I know this because I see them on virtually every job site. Why Husky and other HD tools? Because HD is convenient and most contractors go there now to get stuff.

I'm not a Husky fan, just an observation.

My firehouse just got new tools and toolboxes this year and we bought Husky, we use the tools daily between fire truck repairs, fire station repairs and personal vehicle or project work. Very nice tools and boxes.
