midget craftsman hammer, why so small?

The little guy is a 1 oz, and the other one is 16 vs. 48 oz...

My big ball peen is a P&C 32 oz. that had a broken handle. I just put a new handle on it a couple of weeks ago and put it back in service. It came with a bunch of old stuff, including an Atlas 10" lathe from an estate 30 years ago. I guess you could say I'm a little behind on my projects.

Midgets, aka "little people", "vertically challenged people" have small hands, thus they need small hammers....

After seeing this thread I realized I had a hammer like the original poster but a larger size but had never seen a brand name. Sure enough after a close inspection it had =CRAFTSMAN= on it!
