Last weekend I picked up this set of auger bits from 4/16 to 16/16 sizes.
After derusting them I found they are marked as Mirbite. I don't have pics of them cleaned up yet.
The only reference I can find for Mirbrite seems to be the Midway Tool Co. of Cleveland, Ohio or in another spot Melvin Ohio,
Anyone have any info about this company or these auger bits?

Thanks!
I guess I need to use "quotes" more often. You came up with a lot more than I found.

Google search results will vary depending upon how you enter your search terms.
Try:
"Midway Tool Co" cleveland
or
"mirbrite" auger bit

Google is screwy the way it searches for stuff. Search results will be different depending upon where you put the quotation marks.

I am cautious about adding the Co inside the quotes. I try it without first, then add the Co and Company in successive searches if I get too many results.

^ There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it, RTM. I run multiple searches using various combinations of words. I have found (believe it or not) that reversing the order of the search words will sometime net different search results. Sometimes you get a hit on the first attempt. Sometimes I find myself searching using really odd combinations of search keywords, e.g., "CompanyName InventorName PatentDate" (when searching for the patent NUMBER - one I did the other day on some gizmo.)

I appreciate all the Google advice.
It seems to be more "art" than science to get the best results.
