MIG regulator leak

I needed to do a quick weld job the other day and when I started I found a leak I didn't have previously. I tracked it down to this port or outlet on my regulator. Base on what I have learned this may be a pressure relief type valve?

So what to do? Is this regulator toast? Is this a service item? To be fair this is a cheap regulator that came with this inexpensive campbell hausfeld welder. But it was working!

That is a vent port and your diaphragm is likely cracked. You may find a kit out there that is less than a new regulator.

Had a similar problem with an 02 regulator and it was the same cost to fix or buy new.

I would replace to be safe. New aren't too expensive.
Maybe consider a flow meter instead of gauge.

Side note.
Please don't use thread sealer on CGA connections(cylinder valve to regulator).
That connection seal by face to face contact not on threads.

Don't know what kind of regulator it is but these guys were able to rebuild my ancient victor regulators that everyone else said they couldn't get parts for. They charged about 60 bucks a regulator. They also sell parts.

At least it's inert. I found a leak on my acetylene regulator a couple years ago -- that seems bad
