Mig Welder Question

Quick question I have decided on getting a mig welder. I was looking at getting a Hobart Handler 187, but I found a Millermatic DVI 2 for $1000. Is this a better welder and will I be happier with it than the Handler. Also it is used but looks brand new is $1000 a good price for it.

That DVI 2 is like a Millermatic 212 with taps instead of continuously variable controls and $1000 is only about $270 less than cyberweld has it for so I would pass for more than $800.

Depending on what you are doing I would probably go with something like a Millermatic 211 if you plan on doing a lot of stuff under 1/8" but if you want to do bigger stuff mostly the Handler 187 should be fine.

I would opt for the DVI 2. Much better machine with dual voltage.
