mig Welder recommendation?

Went to buy a 150ft argon bottle for my new TIG last week. Price jumped $80 for the bottle; fill price unchanged. :mad:
i havent followed bottle pricing but what i can say is i bought a 125cuft c25 in february at the same time i bought the 211 and it was $311. thats for bottle and gas. not even sure refill price as of today. was $80 or so about 6mon ago

Buying a welder is money well spent. I paid $2100(Canadian) for a Miller 250x MIG. The Miller model is either 252 or 253, now. That was with bottle of mix, and a large spool of .035 . I got the manager just after he had come from the Christmas party. That welder paid for itself building a frame for tent trailer and welding up a rusted car. It has been gravy ever since.

usually it dont take long for a welder to pay for itself. making and fixing stuff that otherwise you would of had to pay someone else to do. this is why going with a cheap welder makes zero sense to me. even a $1675 211 is paid for in no time just doing small jobs around the house
