Just wondering where everyone buys their Mig Wire?

Also, what's everyone's opinion on the Lincoln Electric S6 Wire? I ask cause it's readily available close to me and relatively cheap.

My last few rolls came from Zoro tools when they had their 30% off and free shipping. Bought the Lincoln L 56 .030 wire in the 12 pound spool for my 211 Miller. Back then I paid $30.00 a spool and free shipping and no driving required by me.

The few times I've bought small sizes of wire, I could find no issue of any brand. if thats a price you like, go ahead and use it.

Oddly enough, just picked up a roll of aluminum wire from harbor freight. it run thru the spool gun better than spool I got from air gas.

S-6 is part of the spec the wire is manufactured to meet so I doubt you would be able to notice much if any difference between brands. And like everything these days, one factory probably makes a majority of the wire and brands it according to what the customer asks for.
Cheap is a relative term. 2#s of wire for $13 is $6.50/lb which is high to me considering I pay $70 for a 33# spool.
Bottom line, if it works for you and your purpose, does it really matter the label or other people's opinion?

I was just wondering if people had experience with it. I live in a small town so unless I buy online this is pretty much it.

True, but my welding supply store has worse than banker hours. at least I can grab an overpriced spool to finish my weekend project from harbor freight.

I generally buy my wire in 10lb spools from TSC. They keep Hobart brand wire in stock and resonably priced being local.

I also use a small piece of blue paper towel in a clothes pin to help wipe any dirt/dust/grit off of it before it enters the rollers.

I've bought several different things from these guys at WeldingCity with good results. They offer the standard ER70S-6 mig wire in a two pack for $35 and free shipping. Each roll is 11 lb. so you get 22 lb. for that price. Compared to Hobart, Lincoln, HF, etc. it seems to run just as well, and a lot lower price. They have good prices on mig tips, liners, etc.
