You cant blame him for this kind of stuff. Its not like he took the pictures...theyre in a database provided by the manufacturer. I am sure he didnt know about it and will correct it.

I have a better idea. Instead of pointing out flaws and linking YouTube **** here, why don't you proofread the entire Toptul/Wrenhandtools site and compose a list of each and every error there is. Email the error list to Mike or PM him (but in no way, shape, or form publicize the errors). Who knows, he might reward your efforts with a token of Toptul gratitude.

I want to hear more about how that popcorn was. What brand/flavor was it?

I don't know, but clearly Merk is going for the HF of the popcorn world. Microwave popcorn can't hold a candle to properly made stovetop popcorn with clarified butter and sea salt. Of course, the really ******** MUST have the pro poppers. If only there was a truck that came around selling them... :lol_hitti

give the guy a break, it appears he's doing it all himself. I applaud his efforts to make his own piece of the american dream come true. Even if it is with cheap imported tools :)

Kettle Corn and lots of dark beer don't mix too well by the 8th inning. Although it might have been the kraut on the brat...........is there a doctor in the house?

Coconut oil is what the pros use. Very bland flavor and high flash point bring out the flavor of the popcorn and cook it better. However, when I run out its Smart Balance oil for me. No doubt that stovetop popcorn is healthier, cheaper, faster and better tasting than microwave popcorn.

This thread belongs in the "off topic" hall of fame.

Not if we're talking about the "tools" needed for the perfect popcorn.

Now, I put a tablespoon (or 13mm deep socket full) or so of olive oil into a medium size skillet (cast iron is best, but I use copper bottom stainless) with 1/4 cup (chrome or lime green soft grip?) of Jolly Time. Cover and hit with medium-high heat until you're getting only a couple of pops a second and let stand until it stops popping. You could refine the process with a Snap-On RTEMP60PBA infrared thermometer, I'm sure.

I haven't tried flavored olive oil, but I bet garlic would be super yummy.

Speaking of tools and food, who here hasn't used their mechanic's tools to mix and/or eat drinks or food?

grapeseed oil is very healthy as far as oils go. Its probably on the FDA future ban list for the natural cancer killing properties. Can't believe the people that are in prison for selling apricot seeds in the US. They have a similar cure rate as modern "medicine" practices, the amazing fault with that statistic is most people only try it after modern medicine says they don't have a chance. Imagine if it was their first choice... All cancer is, is a deficiency like so many other diseases throughout history. Except cancer is a multi-billion dollar industry that they don't want to go away.
