Mildew insulation barn question

Hello, I have a newly purchased home the barn was built in 1980. I’m a new homeowner unsure of what to do about the fiberglass insulation inside of the barn having mildew issues I was curious if I was to ply wood over it after drying it out would that solve the problem.… should I install vents at the Gables to help .. should I put plastic up and then plywood or should I just paint it all? I don’t really care if there’s inside walls, but it doesn’t need to be all mildewy. I have asthma really bad and would like a solution. None of the metal is rusted on the building.. the barn has mostly been closed up for 30 years the person was a hoarder.. any advice would be greatly appreciated

moisture and temperature have to be controlled to get rid of mildew. When really bad - a chemical can be applied.

Two real ways to deal with it..ignore it and go on, can't recommend this.

SO that leaves mitigation and as you are finding out, that is a multi opinion task. IF drying it out is possible (money * time) that would be ideal. Assessment is also helpful - how much of the insulation is wet and how wet is it. Once you get it dry, keeping it dry will require moving air and low humidity, which will require some type of air system to implement.
