Finally have the meter pad and everything wired in. This weekend I will be getting a trencher and hooking up my secondary into my main panel.

Only took them 10 days of off and on work to get it in.

Gutters are finished, this week I will dig in the drainage pipes for them.

Plumbers start today, they already had their mini ex inside ready for digging yesterday.

Just spoke to the contractor, concrete will be happening next week in two pours. One Tuesday, one Wednesday. Garage doors will be installed on Friday of next week.

Then, I get to order a bunch of lumber and start the fun part!

Finished burying the electric entrance behind the barn. Only need to hook up the power line in the meter and bury that end. Saturday I will pound in the ground rods and connect them up and bury all of that, and finish my gutter drains.

Went out today to work on the gutter drains. Got one side completed, will finish the other tomorrow. The contractor came out and compacted the fill and laid vapor barrier and mesh to get ready to pour next week.

Got the meter side of the power line hooked up and completed. Tonight I finish the other side of the gutter drain system then bury it all. Once I finish grade the sides with new topsoil I will extend the drain popups a few inches to grade level.

First half of the concrete pour happened today. Wife said it looked great! I will have some pictures of it on here later if I make it out of work in time.

Question for my ceiling framing. Original plan was to use joist hangers and nail them all up. I saw a product called a purlin saddle hanger. Looks much easier to set and requires a couple fewer nails per side. Would that work well? The only weight will be the drywall and lights. PFD28B is the simpson part number.

One of those nailers is on my list, as is a good framing nailer. I will likely borrow one. I have an arrow electric finish nailer.

Got my 60 gallon compressor hooked up along with a 20 amp outlet, both temporary for the framing stage. Once I start wiring I will make them permanent.

I feel like I hit a huge milestone, power!!!!

Also got garage doors today, finally.

So a lot has happened since I last checked in. I am preparing for drywall this weekend. I just need to mount my pocket door frames and install my lighting and ceiling fan stuff. No progress on the garage side, that will start once I get the house complete.

Here are some pics of the current setup. Walls are all framed, and spray foam insulation is completed. I do not have pictures of the ductwork, they put that in yesterday.

I just realized it has taken me a month to go from bare shell to framed, insulated, wired, plumbed, and ready for drywall. Its been one heck of a month of late nights after work!
