Its a German ****** mk7 LHD with a 2L Vtec Focus SVT Engine and some mods around it...

But i wanted to show you my Garage, thats why i started this.. its an old Military Bunker in the midle of Germany...

it has two of these doors!
And its wide enough to drive "fast" in with my ******, and also my old Cougar on the photo fitted in there!

There is enough space to work kon two cars in there!

didn't say i didn't like it. cause i do just seemed tiny but then again i wanna see the rest of it as well. if it were mine i'd add to hidden exits out of it one out top and one exiting some where out the side. btw i think the idea of a military bunker for a shop garage is the ****. everybody has a garage or a shop or a car port dont see that every day

N.P. i know these old pics are not so nice.
I will post new better pics soon, i love this place! and i think after the new pics some people maybe likes it too...

In the Summer its nicely cold in there and in the winter it never freezes in there!
The only problem ist, my next energy point is about 800m away, and its in the middle of a forest with streets build for tanks...
So no way to get nice cables without a hell of work to there!
ATM its a thin cable, thats enough for light heating and some handtools, but thats it!
The wiring in there is also a problem i destroyed expensive drills just to get the wires fitted badly on the wall, there is massive steel in the walls everywhere...

on the first pic u can see the beginning of the second door...
We (me and a friend!) organised a pump, we want to put a water reservard on the roof!

Wow! May I ask how did you get it and if you know when it was last used by military? It was west or east Germany?
Sorry about the questions but I am interested in 2nd/cold wars and I allways folow History Channel war episodes.
You have a great, unique, and very safe work place!
Cheers from Argentina

Man, If I owned a genuine bunker like that, I would have to build a fake gun port somewhere, with a fake cannon barrel or machine gun barrel sticking out. TOO COOL!

I'm guessing cold war rather than WWII, its in good condition from the pics and I think the allies blew up most bunkers they found after WWII. What I want to know is what else is lurking in the woods!

ive considered the abandned atlas missile sites here in the states or the old AT&T bunkers that are left from the cold war. but i cant imagine a bank writing a mortgage or a bunker and i dont think todays economy warrents me paying cash for something very hard to sell of that value.

.... but it would be really f'n cool :)

dont sell it make it where you still have access to it for personal reasons and it's not sold even it's part of the property. never know when you might need one.

I'm really surprised that your US gov't allows these to be sold. Here in Canada there was a big uproar about 10 years ago when the Hells Angels were trying to buy the 50's era Penhold, Alberta bunker to use as their clubhouse. The federal government ended up having the whole thing torn apart and demolished so it wouldn't fall into the wrong hands.

From the wikipedia article on this:

One interesting footnote surrounds the Diefenbunker that was located at CFB Penhold in Alberta. This facility was decommissioned and at one point a movie studio expressed interest but it was ultimately purchased by a member of the public. When subsequent owners of the Penhold Diefenbunker advertised the facility for resale, there was rumour that a chapter of an outlaw biker gang, possibly the Hells Angels, was expressing interest. This prompted the federal government to repurchase the facility and have it systematically demolished and hauled away at considerable expense.

In truth, bunkers of that type are sort of obsolete. They might keep local cops out for a while, but if the authorities REALLY want to get you while you're hiding inside your bunker...just go ahead and bend over and kiss your A$$ goodbye.

while jacking aroud online for years ive done quite a bit of 'research' on the atlas bunkers (that was before i found GJ :) )

the communication bunkers are a better option, the missile bases are cooler but a whole lot more work to convert and what the hell would one do with a 160 foot deep cylindar that constantly floods due to ground water?

the communication bunkers iver found online are $200-400k not bad for 8200 sq feet underground but unless your a minimalist (and your wife is too) there unihabitable in the present conditon. takes lots of time, money and work to get to the cool factor... though i do fantasize about owning one quite a bit... if only id win that damn lottery :)

There is one right outside of Denver.
I could see myself living in one. Hell I have even thought about doing and underground space at my compound.
Jackass - I love your space and the whole idea.

howly, more response than i expected! :)

Its one of about 10 of these Bunkers, they belong to a friend of me, and we both are working in there for about 10years now, started with scooter little Motorbikes big bikes and at the end with cars!
My Friends parents bought them, because they have a mushroom farm, and bunkers are perfect to make the right conditions for MR..
There is a fenced area around it with 700.000m², so its perfect to test my car while the winter WITHOUT insurance... :)

But there are some probs around, the powercables are hanging more than 5m high over the ground because of the traktors from the MR Farm.
I cannot put them on the ground because of forklifts, we (dont want and) cannot open the streets to get the cables below them!
but we organised a earth roket to go below the street... thats the plan for the near future...
it looks like this...

i will have a look tonight what else pics i do have, tomorrow i will make new ones...

Over here they've sold a a fair few cold war and older bunkers. Several have been kept as is and turned into tourist attractions, hence these signs. :bounce:
