Military style work table/bench

While in the USAF I work in the field shop (F-105 Radar) at Nellis AFB......
We had numerous work tables and after some serching I found the provider or builder of a clone (????).....These tables were heavy....Had a pressed steel frame and a Maple laminated top..........You might find surplus tables on the net at good prices...(These might require refinishing)

Check out Edsal Workbenches I used to work at Naval Submarine refueling base in the San Francisco bay area and we used these benches. I worked in the temporary services shop. We had 4 benches 40 feet long to inspect and repair extension cords. I'd set a pallet of 50 amp cords on one end and go to work. The other end of the bench held the pallet for finished cords. We used what Edsal is calling a Shop Top. Two layers of tempered hardboard with a particle board core.

I found mine on craigslist, drug home a 12' long table with 3 legs and a totally rotted out top. I refinished the legs in machinery grey and got a 1.5" thick butcher block top from IKEA for it. Very pleased with how it turned out.
