Military toolbox?

Hi All,
Was looking through upcoming estate sale ads and came across this box:

Any chance of a translation/origin?

I just spoke to one of my friends and he thinks it's Mandarin and the last word is car. He thinks is a truck tool box.
He possibly has an application to translate it and if he finds it, he will text me the translation later today.

Possibly from the US China Defensive Campaign (1942-1945). I don't recognize the box, so it may be of Chinese Army origin, but dual marked for US forces recognition.

I'm not sure.I won't be able to attend the sale until Saturday and the box may/may not be there at that time.

I asked a Chinese-American co-worker who is a very smart mechanical engineer to translate the writing. Here's what he says:

"Some kind of “container for heavy vehicle”? Judging from the text, it looks like it’s something from Taiwan or China (before culture revolution) because the text is in traditional Chinese, rather than simplified Chinese. "
