I have two pieces of equipment for sale. Both are in good shape, and are good machines. I've purchased some bigger/better machines, and it's time to let these go to a new home... They don't have to go as a pair - I'll sell them separately. Prices are below with the descriptions:
$1000 - MILL / DRILL WITH DRO
I'm not sure of the make - I think it's an older Rong Fu, but I can't find any part numbers or manufacturers marks anywhere on it.
Table measures 24" x 9.5". Table travel is approximately 12" (X) & 6" (Y). Round column with a power assist to raise/lower the head (only one I've ever seen like this). Total head travel is around 12". Quill is MT3, and has about 5" of travel. Comes with an MT3 collet set, a drill chuck, and 4 end mill holders.
After I purchased it in 2006, the mill went through it's first "restoration". At that time, I installed new acme screws & nuts. The hand wheels are graduated in 100 steps, and with the new screws it works out to 0.100" / revolution in both the X and Y. Very little backlash to this day, and it comes with an extra set of acme nuts if it ever needs them. I also installed new spindle bearings and added a Shooting Star DRO on the X, Y, and Quill (Z). This has worked very well for me. The final thing I did at that time was completely re-wire the entire machine to a new control panel with a built-in light.
In 2012, it went through some additional upgrades. This included the change to a new 1HP Leeson 115V motor (made in the plant I worked in at the time). I also replaced the idler bearings in the belt drive and gave it a new coat of Leeson blue paint. It runs very quiet, and is strong enough for anything I've ever needed it to do.
Overall condition is very good. Since I did my "restorations", it's only been used lightly, cutting mostly aluminum and plastic. It did do some chrome-moly once, and didn't have any trouble.
$1200 - Grizzly G9972Z Metal Lathe
Lathe is sold, so details removed...
Both machines are located in West Plains, MO. I don't want to ship, so you'll need to pick them up. I can help load.
Thanks,
Danny
