I need to test one but don't have the 120v pig tail. Wondering how the wiring works on the pig tail. It's a standard 110v/120v plug but it goes to a 6L-30R recepticle.

I am guessing ground goes to ground, but not sure the other legs. Hoping you can take the continuity on the pig tail and tells me what goes to what on the plug to the recepticle.

I will order one once I can but just need to do a make shift test one that is missing the pig tails.

Okay, I just checked out mine.

Ground goes to ground.
X goes to left
Y goes to right.

Left and right orientation are shown in picture, looking straight at plug with ground to top. The twist lock is marked with X and Y which can be seen in the picture

Thanks TMCT!!!!

Reason I was asking is I bought a Miller 625 extreme today of craigslist for 950. It was missing the two pig tails so had to figure out a way to test it before I laid down the cash. Luckily I found the Miller flyer and manual which indicated it had the 6L-30p plug that then connected to the pig tail for a 220v or 110v. I then made up a 110v pig tail so I could test it at the sellers place...he didn't have 220 available. Made it easy. Plus I can order new pig tails for not much money.

Very happy I have a plasma. That thing cuts FAST.
