I am currently contemplating buying this welder
http://sarasota.craigslist.org/tls/3109172124.html

I currently have a Hobart Handler 190 that I just got and am still setting up. I have limited MIG experience, and zero stick experience. I am interested in this welder because A) its quite cheap compared to new and B) the 5500 watt continuous generator which can be quite handy both on the job (construction) and for the house (Florida hurricanes). This welder would serve most of it's time as a generator with occasional stick use. The thing that has me hesitant to jump on this is that it has over 900 hours and is 10 years old. Is this a legitimate concern? I am not in dire need of a portable stick welder but for the price it seems nice to have, for generator factor alone.
Thanks for the comments/advice.

Listen to it run, check the air filter and spark plug. Check to see if it is warm before you here it start. If it is warm it may have difficulty starting and the seller may have started prior to your arrival so it would start easier the second time.
