you do realize its a 1/3 phase machine and has substanially less power on single phase. are you in the oil field needing to use 5/32 or 3/16 rods 8hr every day ? other wise i see no point at all to buying that machine. its heavy , expensive and has virtually no adjustable paramaters other than amps. for general use the tp180 would be a far better choice if you ask me. weights 50% less , costs $2800 less ,and has fully adjustable hot start ,arc force and stick pulse. also it can be ran on 110v with 300' of extension cord if you were ever in that predicament

oh you found a used one that the owner just wanted it gone ? if it was dirt cheap i dont blame you for buying it. otherwise its a machine really only needed in a heavy industrial setting

I have one that was never used by the utility company that closed down. Best stick machine I've ever used, but I don't do tig. I'm selling it.

I think they're great welders myself. We have alot of them where I work. They are used on the manlifts, mostly JLGs. I've repaired many of them...mostly damage done by the iron workers. Other than that an occasional main board. Mostly the inductor gets broke when the machine is slammed into something and bends the plate holding the lead ports. They weld beautiful all day long though! If you ever have issues with it I have access to troubleshooting manuals from work.
