Yeah, you can grab chisels around here for $1-2 each, just sharpen and go for most of them. They won't be virginal.


And to complete the set.

Assuming they paid less than half to acquire those, they are still more than I would pay for 1960s chisels, (and I love MF) and have a few of those. I might go $5 for a nice Witherby or vintage Buck, but plastic handle are generally in the "loan to the neighbors" pile, not the "protect my users" pile.

Good to know. I’m not really buying much new stuff anymore as they aren’t made in the USA. I’ll buy Europe or Japanese stuff (if I know they aren’t getting their stuff from China-which can be difficult!). The other thing is I don’t want junk either and I have no knowledge base for certain sections of tools or equipment.

Which is why I’m on this forum!!! :)
