Good evening folks - I bought this saw a while back and am just getting around to it. It is badged Miller-Knuth and model 3056. It has PERKINS and Patent Applied For cast into the saw frame.

I don't know a lot about this saw yet so I'm trying to learn as I disassemble. I know I have at least two problem areas - the arm latching and the return stroke lift. I have seen some posts regarding the lift mechanism but right now I want to concentrate on the latching mechanism. First off - what exactly is this supposed to do - just the hold arm while setting material or does it also allow a controlled entry into the work as the saw is engaged? I know I am missing some pieces - here is what I have - basically a ltch frame and arm

The arm has a break in it

So what am I missing? I'm hoping someone has a good picture of the pieces and parts for this sub assembly and in a perfect world some available parts to sell :)

Thanks
Rick
