Anyone want to tell me why my wire feed contnues to push out an extra 3-5" of wire after I let off the trigger? I replaced the trigger which helped a bit. It shortened the extra run from about 10" down to the 3-5". I checked around the forum to try and see if this has been discussed but couldn't find it anywhere.

Isn't there a setting for this?

If so, I'm not aware of this. There are gas settings to continue after you release the trigger but I don't believe there is for the wire. I've known to be wrong at times tho. LOL

Are the feed rollers still being driven after you release the trigger, or is the spool freewheeling?

I appreciate your help. Nothing more frustrtating than to weld, cut wire, weld, cut wire.

Boy they're proud of that relay....

Seems like you ought to be able to cross that to something generic.
Absolutely

This one doesn’t have the mounting tab molded in but potter brumfield and other manufacturers offer that style for much less coin.

All you need to search is a double pole double throw relay with a 24vac coil based on what PC found as a replacement.

A call to miller tech support with your SN, the tinn off, and a multi meter handy will likely get you the best result.
I have repaired 2 miller relays in my equipment. Fairly easy to crack the covers and fix with a magnifier and small tools, thiugh I don't thnk my hands are steady enough any more.

First thing is to take the cover off and find the relay. 99% sure it will have a model number on it. If you don't have a schematic, turn it on and pull the trigger to see which picks up. Be careful.
