I still have a lot of ideas, but this is the base cart. I would like to add my 36" rod guard storage tubes and maybe some other odds and ends.

Anyone has any ideas of ways to make it better and more functional, I am all ears.

Please let me know what you guys think.

Thanks for your time
DK

Coming from you that means a lot! I have seen some of your work, top notch!

I'm actually pretty new at tig welding. I learn something new every time I pick up the torch.

I agree with the others, nicely built. All of the commercially available carts I have seen have storage on the back for 2 bottles.

Good looking cart!

I used thin wall cold water PVC pipe for filler storage.Just cap one end,cut a small taper on the edge of the other end and slip a cap on.

Nice cart, nice welds, and a nice machine.

Great job man.

Thank you! This machine is one of my favorite toys/tools. Its a blast to use; Its very smooth and consistent.

I agree with the others, nicely built. All of the commercially available carts I have seen have storage on the back for 2 bottles.

Thank you, someone else also mentioned a spot for another bottle. That's a great idea and would be great for back purging or a helium mix.

Thanks! I worked in plumbing when I was younger, I saw a bunch of people making them out of PVC. But I ended up getting 'rod guard' storage tubes. Now I am just trying to decide if I should put them on the cart like my last one, built into the welding bench.

Haha, I have been known not to add enough filler, easy to do in stainless turbo components. I never learned much by the book but it would def help to pick one up. Thanks!

I agree with ZT, beautiful....

Thank you! It took a long time for me to make it, used up a bunch of my square tubing. I don't feel like a very efficient fabricator, I feel like I am way too slow at it. Until that changes, it will always be a hobby to me lol.

To be honest, first time I ever held a tig torch, within 30min I was laying some nice looking aluminum beads. I had a decent background in other welding processes and learn pretty fast, especially when money is on the line. I think it would be better to judge it by how many bottles of argon would it take to get to the point you can charge for the services. With decent equipment, I feel like most at 5 bottles down could get away with charging others. Big key is the decent equipment thing. Most low quality machines are harder to use. I've also seen a lot of people that just don't get it as well, no matter what they are using, they struggle with the learning curve.

If your interested in learning and want to pick it up fast. Do your research, hop on 'weldingtipsandtricks.com'. Before I ever picked up the torch, I watched every video he had. That guy really gives back to the welding community and what he is doing in my eyes is a great thing.

Wow, that looks great! Nice welds!

Hi

Beautiful welds!!!

Thanks guys!

That's a crazy helmet, I'd rock it, I'm sure that would shake some customers up.
