Millermatic 130xp

been looking for a used mig for a while, just located a Millermatic 130xp with tank, cart and hood for 350.00. Seems to be in good working condition, I'm told it's about 10 years old and cosmetically it looks well worn but I'm going to be welding not show it off. Any advice on issues with this machine or things I need to check

Do s test weld. Make sure it feeds wire, gas solenoid turns on and off and that it actually lays a good bead. They are great machines and last I checked Miller sold parts for them. You can buy replacement torch, consumables and other stuff from aftermarket companies as well. That sounds like a good deal.

we just got rid of one -worked good BUT repair shop we go to SAID if the board goes bad -inside -your in trouble !!! as some boards are going to be not available SOOOOON ! so we sold it -at a good price & got anew oneeeeeeeee at a good price !thats the problem with this new world -everything is phased out & updated !
