Millermatic 35 - electrical hookup problem
Hi.. out there! I am seeking help with an electrical hookup with an old 70s MM35.
The problem I cannot get any spark at the mig torch
It is an old white faced... with ports along the bottom.. I got it from a guy and not sure if he tampered with it.
The setup- two lines to the mig torch - one has the wire feed--- which does works well. The other line, or hose, carries the gas as well it contains the two thin wires that trigger the torch. I followed those to wires and lead back to the circuit board inside the machine. (probably to run the wire motor)
On the front of the machine -the negative clamp is plugged in
However, there is no positive wire plugged into positive port.
Followed the pos. port it leads back to the smaller transformer.
Now observing, other machine hookups. it looks like the two thin wires from the torch splice into the positive port. Can anyone tell me how these thin wires are hooked going in and out of the positive port....up to the torch and to the machine.
Thanks ahead of time for any assistance....
