Some time ago some one here helped me with a "workaround" for a 9" grinder that the switch was n/a.
Now I'm looking for a chuck for a model 5392 hammer drill variable speed. What I'm coming up with is another n/a, at least online. Whoever helped me out new his stuff! This tool is at least 20 y.o., I bought it new. s/n 006.6569262
I don't need this tool that much anymore with the advance of cordless tools but I'd like to save it if possible, it's an old friend.

Thanks, I'll check into that. I agree with your 2nd statement but several years ago I went to a tool repair shop and got a replacement chuck, different for what was called for and it wont hammer. This has me confused as I'm certain that it was hammering when the original chuck just "locked up" and would not open or close. I did go to HD & buy a cheap Ryoby hammer drill for $50 knowing that it's a throw away just to get this project done.
