It depends on what model the Milwaukee jigsaw is.
Milwaukee had some German made Jigsaws, that were some of the first on the market, with a tools free blade change system, that swiveled a collar on the blade plunger.
Those jigsaws tended to have an issue with the blade turning to the side when the collar turned to lock the blade in place, likely due to slight variations in blade tolerance.
If you hold the blade straight with pliers as the collar locks, you might be able to prevent the blade from locking crooked.
I think a slightly later version of the saw had several extra components in the plunger to prevent the blade twist issue.
Milwaukee has a number of different jigsaw models, with completely different blade plunger and gearcase mechanisms, and I haven’t bern keeping track of the models lately.
It’s possible someone at Milwaukee forgot or ignored the issue, and started using the Crappy blade lock again?
