Milwaukee 18v Circular Saw Recommendation

I’m in need of a circular saw. Already have a few of the Milwaukee 18v so I’m wanting a good circular saw from them. 6 1/2 or 7 1/4 will work. Prefer left side blade. Need tool only unless there’s a great deal that someone knows about. What’s Milwaukees latest and greatest?

Depends on what you are gonna use it for. The 6 1/2” saw are good for 2x4’s and smaller in my opinion. I just bought the 7 1/4” “worm drive” left hand blade saw and absolutely love it. It’s heavy but if you already have the larger batteries it’s an awesome saw.

I just ordered a recon 6 1/2" Fuel too, its arriving today. $140/shipped.

I wanted a smaller/lighter saw too, that's why I went 6 1/2".

I've got them all and honestly it's a East Coast - West Coast thing for those that grew up with sidewinders on the East Coast the 7 1/4 rings their bell, for those that grew up on the West Coast blade left saws (and the 6 1/2" is really nice) does it for them.

Back home in Pittsburgh you couldn't give away a Skil 77. Everybody used sidewinders normally Milwaukee, Black and Decker Industrial (now DeWalt) or Porter-Cable when Porter-Cable made great stuff not the garbage SBD sells now under that name. Out here in Arizona Skil 77's are all that people use.

Thanks, don’t think I need the worm drive.

Understand. Only brought it up because that’s the only left blade 7 1/4” saw Milwaukee makes. Everything else is on the right.

Picked this up from Home Depot. Sure it will suit my needs just perfectly.

I used to be a skill 77 guy but now have a 7 1/4 fuel. It’s visibility is really good for a sidewinder and power phenomenal! Light weight and no cord to boot. I don’t miss my 77!

Also note. The last cut my fuel will make before the 9ah battery shuts off has more power than a fresh 5ah battery. It’s however rare to need another battery. Even when we did my roof the saw was cutting 3 sheets of 5/8 osb and made it till lunch, fast charged over lunch, and finished the roof and still had a bar left.

Love mine as well. Sold my 7 1/4 right handed saw, to buy this one. The right handed saws sight lines were horrible. One of the best sones I have had as far as visibility.
