Hello, I have this 18v 1/2 drive drill that takes these batteries. I have one battery that won't take a charge and one that will take up to a half charge. Is there any place to send these off to refurbish these or do I just recycle them and bite the bullet on new ones. As you all may know these batteries are a little pricey. I just thought i would throw that out there and see what the rest of you are doing with them.

HD have deals right now on the compacts $80 for two. It's the 1.5Ah one, not the new 2.0Ah.
To get quality battery for refurbish, it will cost about $30 plus labor/shipping/etc...

If they are XC batteries the warranty is 5 years.

Rebuilding LI-Ion batteries can be done. I don't *think* Milwaukee batteries have the same issue the Makitas do where once the control board says "I'm no good!" the fat lady has sung, but I could be wrong. I personally wouldn't mess with trying to solder tabs to lithium cells as I have an aversion to exploding lithium cells.
As long as you're talking M18 and not V18, there should be some deals on 1.5 and 3.0 batteries like Trey said, since 2.0/4.0 batteries are working their way into the market.

Send them in to tti with a note explaining your problem. They just replaced 2 chargers and 3 batteries for me. Seems the chargers may have hurt the batteries or visa versa. No proof of purchase required and they knew 2 of the batteries were off warranty. They really seem to stand behind their products.

+1 Had 2 replaced for a case crack.
Humm This is all pretty interesting! Does anybody have any type of contact info. on all the places mentioned here? I live in central Illinois 70 miles east of St. Louis. This drill have been a darn good one and have not got any complaints on it. It's great for odd jobs and wood working and real clunky to use.

Use their website, that's how I did mine. They will say you may have to pay for 'used' portion, but they covered all of mine that by the date code was out of the full replacement period.

Maybe ill have to send mine in. I have 6 of them here that cracked around the screws that the local distributer said couldn't be warrantied
