I was surfing the internet looking at the Milwaukee M12 line of tools the other night. I ended up mentioning to my wife that I was thinking of looking at getting the 2454-22, the Fuel 3/8" Impact for the M12 line. I mainly want it to disassemble and reassemble nuts and bolts quickly while working on cars.

So last night my wife surprised me with the Milwaukee 2407-22 to try out the size of the drill and see how I like it. I've always been a fan of Milwaukee power tools, I use them all the time at work. Never have used any of their cordless power tools though. I am fairly impressed with this little guy though. Planning on using it this week doing some work around the house in my off time.

One of my favorite features is the battery indicator on the side of the drill.

So I guess you can say I have drank the GJ Kool-Aid for the Milwaukee line of power tools now. Not getting rid of my new DeWalt 20V drills and drivers though

That was the 2410 until Milwaukee re-designed it. They claim identical torque specs on their website so I don't know exactly what they changed except cosmetics and the belt clip. The 2410 feels a bit heavier and more robust.

The 2407 is the drill that came in the 2494-22B kit we all went crazy for over for BF (and there's still a rare one in HD stores these days). $99 for that drill, the 2462 1/4" hex impact driver, 3 total batteries (one of which was the 3.0XC) and charger. Now, if you can find one, they're $129.

I understood that. Simply explaining why we addicts were excited about it over BF. And he can never let his wife read this because she probably paid $99 or more for the pictured kit.

Yeah, she told me she saw the tags for the $129 kit but they were sold out.

It's all good, I'm just so happy I have a wife that likes buying me tools. :D

Looks great, Home Depot had them for $99 after/during christmas. I see your a shipfitter too. Thats great! I've been working on the USS Monterey/San Jacinto at BAE and the USS Kearsarge at NOB. I wanted to buy this set so bad, but already have the M18 fuel, no need for redundancy. The metal chuck on a 12v tool is awesome.

My wife gets made if I buy a screw driver, so I have to hide money and buy stuff when she isn't around....
