Milwaukee 2407 slow, showing its age

My Milwaukee 3/8" M12 2407-20 is slow to get up to speed. I assume the brushes are worn badly. The Milwaukee parts list

does not show separate brushes so I'm guessing I'll have to replace the whole motor then, right?

I already have a 1/2" Ryobi. The small one is very handy sometimes.

I’m with PelicanPines on this one. If you’ve used it so much that the brushes are worn out, other parts are probably worn as well. How is the chuck? How is the grip?

I have the M12 Fuel 3/8 Hammer drill and love it. You’ll have a lot more power which is always good. As far as size goes, I can’t say how it compares to your older drill. That might be a consideration.

UPDATE: I do want to mention... all four drills in the above pictures... are 1/2" chucks...

Entire -22 two battery drill kit new was like $99 for a long time I remember. I bought one at the price brand new to give as a gift and that's what I paid.

See a new bare tool 2407 on Ebay for $50.

It is only a 1500rpm max drill but without taking a reading using a non contact tach I don't know how would know what the actual speed is running at, and note the speed even drops down some as the battery charge decreases also
