I put a new anvil assy in my cordless ratchet the other day(the ball fell out of the square end). Now the drive end slips & catches occasionally. Any ideas?

I've never understood the clutch mechanism in these. I can hold mine by hand and get it to slip but it never seems to do it if I'm actually using it on a fastener
