I saw a couple of old threads that covered portaband blades, but they were a bit long in the tooth, so I was wondering if there might be some folks using newer blades with their Milwaukee 2729-20 M18 Bandsaws?
My reading is telling me that Lenox may be the brand to buy, but we'll be using our saw - mounted to a table we fabbed in our own little shop - to cut small pieces of thick mild steel (up to 1.25 inches thick). We've never used a small bandsaw like this as a table mounted bandsaw, so any information about best brand, overall length, width and teeth-per-inch (TPI) would be greatly appreciated. By the way, is there a general rule of thumb that's used to determine best TPI count?
EDIT: I got a search hit stating that the blade for this saw is 44-7/8" long x 1/2" wide x 0.020" thick (nothing about TPI) ... but I'd still like to check that info with the folks who actually use these portable saws ... and, needless to say, there's nothing in there about brand and TPI.
Thank you for the help.
