I am about to pull the trigger on this Milwaukee Impact Wrench. It seems to get great reviews and seems like a much better impact then the Dewalt I was going to buy. Since I have a lot of Dewalt 18V tools already I was going to by the bare tool for about $150.

I see the complete Milwaukee set with case (2763-22) is about $429.00 most places. But the bare tool is $219 at CPO and it looks like I can buy two batteries and a charger at Amazon for $161.58 for a total of $380.58. I never use the cases for any of my power tools (I store power tools in draws in my garage) and keep the batteries inside to keep them out of the Florida heat. I always put the cases for power tools up in the attic, keep them a couple of years and then throw them out...... I am just wondering if I am missing something with the batteries, here is the link:http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00BYFNTAS/?tag=atomicindus08-20 The case is not worth $50, especially since I am blowing by my original $150 budget :D

The links for the batteries look great. i wish i could find them at that price in Canada. The 2763 is awesome.
I wish Milwaukee made a boot for the batteries though i have broken 2 of them from vibration caused by hammering repeatedly on really tight stuff. I now wrap my batteries in duct tape, hopefully this batch of battieries don't fall apart

You're looking at the right batts, 4.0 XC's, so that's good. I've also noticed these have been really cheap on Amazon lately.

If you can wait for a sale you can do a little better, I got mine w free battery promo, 20% off and free ship thru CPO for $369, so I got three 4.0 XC's at that price.

I'm actually trying to talk myself out of buying the m18 fuel 2797 kit.. Its milwaukee's top of the line hammer drill and impact driver combo. Right now the kit sells in Home Depot for $369, so figure a 10% off coupon would cover the tax. However, there is a place on ebay selling factory refurbished kits for $219 with free shipping, and has the 4.0 batteries as well. That's a hard deal to pass on even if you are not in the market for a new set.. ( like me ) $110 per for each tool w/ battery, brushless and 4.0 lithium , come on now..

I've been wanting to upgrade to lithium just to be able to keep batteries that will stay fully charged even if they sit for a few months.. And with 4.0 batteries, each one of those will effectively replace 2 of my old 18v dewalts.

Thanks for the confirmation on the batteries. I may wait a week or so to see if any sales hit but I fear the $25 off promo that just ran for labor day (which I missed) may be the last for a while. $369 with 3 batteries was a killer deal. Thanks again for the info.
