Any Milwaukee 28V batteries users here ? We are looking at some extrication tools at the firehouse and the Genesis tools utilize a Milwaukee 28V battery.

For the guys that have used them, what kind of work are you getting from them ?

What type of work are you doing with them ?

How long have you had them.... lifespan ?

Any charging issues ?

5 years or more. when they're old they won't hold a charge, and the capacity is reduced. And they don't like cold. when they're old they say they're fully charged , but they're not. You'll be back in business when you buy a new one. I have the whole Milwaukee line up, and some tools have long run times and others don't.

The V28 Milwaukees were the king of the hill about 12 years ago, but they left the scene about 10 years ago when milwaukee dumped them for their current 18v lineup.

I still use mine - the M28 replacement batteries are good and last a long time. I've had two of them for about 6 years and they still work fine. When they die I'll have a decision to make because there are a couple of my M28 tools I want to keep.

I’m still using some of my m28 tools. All the m28 batteries are still going strong, with some almost 6 years old. I picked up a 5.0 m28 battery a few years ago on eBay. It really gave some much needed run time to the m28 grinder.
