Impact driver (hex) or impact wrench (square)? Either way i think that's way too much. You can get the M18 fuel combo (hammer drill and impact wrench, two 5.0 batteries, charger and a case) for $369 at HD on non-sale days. Specials are always announced on here for far less.

I will say that it's my favorite cordless tool by far and I would not buy it with anything bigger then the 2.0 batteries. They will last a long time and are WAY lighter then the 3.0/4.0/5.0 batteries.

The Milwaukee 2754-22 CT kit (two 2.0 compact batteries) is usually $259 full retail at most online outlets. Places like ACME right now also are also offering an additional $20 savings on $100 min purchase so $239 would be the total after discount.

The standard kit with the two 5.0 batteries is the 2754-22 and normally lists for $329 and again at ACME right now that purchase comes with an additional 3rd 5.0 battery. (This has been ongoing for quite a while now ;) ) and it also stacks with the $20 off promo so the total with all three XC batteries is $309

I guess its up to you where you buy your tools but your Matco guy ain't given you any deal

edit: I would suggest looking/posting under the Hot Deals forum. Much better area for this kind of question, and you might see a deal on it posted there.

For $305 you can get this amazing deal. The guy posts these deal on Facebook, and is out of New Jersey. Seems sketchy, but I have no placed 5 orders and have more to place. He had the B1G1 outdoor power tools before any other dealer that i know of & had them shipped in 2 days. sorry, back to the 3/8 deal...

send $305 to [email protected] (do it as goods & services & you are protected, nothing to worry about). I got mine yesterday (1.5 days shipped) & am enjoying a cool breeze as I type

Agreed. The beauty of 2.0 batts. is they allow you to get into tight spots.

Sometimes the 5.0 is too bulky. I have both batts and use the 5.0 mainly with the 1/2" impact.

I like to use a compact battery on both the 2754 and also the 2753 hex driver. Just keeps things lightweight.

Most often for me run times are plenty satisfactory with both tools (but if your running a lot of long deckscrews YMMV :D)

You cant really beat Nicks FB deal either...xtra compact battery plus flashlight (again only often needs no more than a compact battery for that ) And the fan is great to have. So handy I use my often even outdoors under a pop up canopy when the air is just dead.

But with that I definitely like to use an XC

This is just the 3/8 fuel impact wrench 2 battery and charger

Model # 2754-22CT and Model # 2754-22 are both just the 3/8 fuel impact wrench 2 battery and charger

You now know why it is important to provide a model number -

Here is the same kit with the 5.0 batteries for $329 from HD and I'm sure if you look around and find a sale, you can do much better...
