I've got these two currently,

M18 fuel 2754,
https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwaukee-M18-FUEL-18-Volt-Lithium-Ion-Brushless-Cordless-3-8-in-Compact-Impact-Wrench-with-Friction-Ring-Tool-Only-2754-20/206320076

M12 fuel 2454,
https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwaukee-M12-FUEL-12-Volt-Lithium-Ion-Brushless-Cordless-3-8-in-Impact-Wrench-Tool-Only-2454-20/203807399

I'm looking to replace/upgrade the 2454, it seems a bit weak compared to the 2754 and has had a lot of use. I was looking at the M12 2554 to replace it https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwaukee-M12-FUEL-12-Volt-Lithium-Ion-Brushless-Cordless-3-8-in-Impact-Wrench-Tool-Only-2454-20/203807399, and would like to know if it compares more to the M18 2754 then the M12 2454 as far as torque level is concerned. I know the torque numbers are shown, but the 2454 doesnt seem to be capable of what is listed by Milwaukee (116 ft lb). What is your real world experience with the 2554 compared to the others?

I have been using the 2454 for about 4 years and just bought the 2554 as a replacement at work. The 2454 is still working, just took it home.

I only have had the 2554 for two days. I did fan clutch on a Maxxforce 13 with it. That's the toughest job so far. I might be doing a high pressure turbo on Monday on a DT so that will be a better test.

I did play with it on a F450. I took off 3 front lug nuts easy. I am playing the idea of the 2555. I only have M12 batteries so I kinda want to stick with that line vs. The M18.

The 2454 is what it is @ only 117ftlbs whereas the 2754 is 220ftlbs. Really can't be compared

The new M12 stubby is rated what 250? now.

They all have their place for different jobs. Though IMO its the 18v compacts that are going lose the most between both the Mid torque and the Stubby now. Have to wonder though all 3 including the 2454 might all be dropped someday,

I would still like to see a shorter redesigned 2454 similar to the new 2553 someday. Within its parameters the old 2454 is great tool.

The 2554 will replace both your current tools. It and a mid torque will cover just about everything.

Its more powerful and not any bigger, that makes it better imo.

I have the stubby and the small snap-on impact, the snap-on trigger is better for the milwaukee is a good bit more powerful.

I did the MF DT EPA10 turbos, exh. manifold, egr cooler job and I used the new M12 Fuel 3/8 ratchet and the 2554 stubby. I only had to bust out the 1/2" IR2235 one two bolts, one bolt was a guarantee air impact, even the 3/8 IR2125 wont get the bolt off and there was 1 other I had to use the IR2235.

Definitely way better than the 2454, a huge difference in real work situations. I was using a 6.0 battery and still have 2 dots left after that large job and the MF13 fan clutch job.

The 2754 and 2554 make a great combo. I prefer the 2754 if you need an extension/adapter. The m12 seems to loose it's oomph when you use an extension. If you don't have the 3/8" ratchet and already own the 2754, I think I would get the ratchet before the stubby impact.

I use a tiny 1/4 hex impact adapter and it does Lug nuts on normal vehicles just fine. It's 2553. I don't know if you are working ona big truck , then you probably need a m18 3/4 anyway.

I could see the benefit of something as small as possible but has more torque than the 2553.
