Milwaukee 46" "High Capacity" tool chest

I apologize for the thread repeat, but in this case I'm specifically interested in thoughts on the new and deeper Milwaukee box.

It's currently on sale, and seems like a pretty good value, especially if you want to take advantage of some of the power tool options. Any thoughts on this vs. the usual semi-budget options (HF 56" or 72" etc)?

I am happy see the manufacturers are going deeper.
If it is like the other Milwaukee tool chests though, the single drawers are crazy shallow.

I see Menards with their Master Force are 24" deep now. Those may be real contenders of the single drawers are deeper like the old master force or like HF large chests.

I have all 5 of the Milwaukees, I like the new deep one though wish they didnt change the look of it compared to the others. Drawer config is ok but I wish the small drawers were deeper and one or two less of them. Quality is better than many of the comparable options, but could have a slight brand premium. $1000 or even when it was $900 is too much, its $800 price now is good. I managed to get 10% off with free delivery. Friend thinks the bottle opener accessory makes it worth it alone lol. I like how it comes with the hooks, paper towel holder, and that the side shelf folds.

I agree on the depth issue, but there’s something to be said for the 18” boxes for home use. I prefer to park both of my cars in my “two car” garage with my 18” boxes along the side walls. If my boxes were 24”, one of my cars would be living outdoors. Though I’d love them to be 24” if I had the room!

The new Milwaukee's are 22" deep ("the 46" wide). It can be a good sweet spot. This one showed up at shows last summer, expected in November, arrived December, went back off sale and is un-obtanium, currently. I wanted just the bottom, and now just the top is available, by order only, from HD. Frustrating, and Weird. I like thinner drawers, with depth, and it's as if they listened then dangled it from a string.

It is not just the box depth, but the drawer depth also.

Many of the 18" deep(length) boxes only have 15.5-15.75" deep(length) drawers. My older Craftsman standard duty(one step up from home-owners) 26" (18" deep(length)) box has 16.75" deep(length) drawers.
