Milwaukee 46" top and bottom box

I located a top and bottom box at my local HD. It was up in the rafters. I asked for a price and they Said 698 for both. I said isn't that one sitting here a while ? Other stores have blown them out.

They took it down scanned it and said nope it's 698 and it's the last one. I asked for the manager. She called the pro desk and said put it out front and it will sell at 698.

How do you guys get these great deals on stuff at HD ?

i've learned to give up. if you're like me and only have 1 local home depot, or even 2, you still may never get a deal. i've exhausted a lot of time trying to find a great deal and always left empty handed. a lot of these guys have HD's around them left and right, and a lot depend on the type of neighborhood they're in or how they're ran. i'm pretty sure my local HD is either completely by the book or employees get the products. i went to HD every morning for 2 hours waiting for them to mark down a 60 gallon compressor at the lowest price. i ended up going right at closing time on a tuesday to get something i needed for the house, the compressor wasn't marked down to final status yet. i went inside literally 5 minutes after they opened the next morning and the compressor was gone, and the tag was marked down the final clearance price. that tells me an employee has it in their garage right now. i would have seen someone loading it if it was a customer. you may just not live around a good one, and be in the same situation as me. just gotta watch from the sidelines lol

Yep, it is very store dependent. I've never seen a penny item at my closest store. At others, I have found them in the clearance section. At some stores they don't want to sell u the item. At one store, they asked if I wanted more of the item as it was only a penny, but I had gotten the only one left.

i know the local hd's and sears are raided by the employees for deals

At HD, employees are not allowed to buy clearance items priced under $1. Not to say that it doesn't happen...
