What is the story on the 6.0 batteries?
In the time they have been out, (since 2015 i believe) I've never actually seen one. Unlike the 9.0's, they have not come down in price. I can get 9.0's for 95 bucks on ebay. So what are they for? Why are they so special? Has anyone had any experience with them?

Picked up a pair in June for a smoking deal via my daughter's employee purchase program ($36 each) and they seem to work great for running the sawzall.

If they're more stud than the 4.0, I'd love to know where to get them for $36.00 each

I think there would be more out there, but the 5.0's and 6.0's were released at the same time and the 5.0 came with all the new tools, then the 9.0's came out. kind of like the 4.0 for the M12... the 6.0 came out and took it over. 4.0's could be had cheap on clearance. think I bought 3 for 20-30 bucks at the homeless deskpot

I have a **** ton of 9.0's/5.0's so I don't need many 6.0's, but at 36 bucks a piece I'll buy 10. lol

Soooo....I stumbled upon 'em on Newegg for $68.50 for 2, about $75 for one. Seller is iSave

Wording is a bit fishy as some of the listings say "replacement for." Some don't. BUT the pictures are clearly of actual Milwaukee batteries, the part number is listed as 48-11-1860 and the manufacturer website is clearly stated as milwaukeetool.com

I took screen captures of all the above for CYA and ordered a 2-pack. With the holiday weekend don't expect a report anytime soon.

From the reviews of the seller it appears if nothing else NewEgg will make it right if I get import knock-offs. If not, I ordered w my Amex, and armed w my screen shots they're SOL if I don't get actual Milwaukee batteries (I'm guessing I get clones, thus all the CYA).

None of these battery listings from iSave have any reviews, so if nothing else I'll review on NewEgg so future buyers know if it's a scam. ISave has a ton of Milwaukee battery listings on there from singles to 6-packs, M12 to M18.

Ok the batteries finally arrived at my Post Office yesterday (my slowest Fedex Smartpost experience ever).

Anyway they are knock-offs as suspected.

After trying my best to be reasonable iSave (the seller on Newegg) are complete asshats. I told them they could have their mis-represented product back if they sent a call tag. They apparently had no desire to do this.

Newegg told me they'd cover up to $15 for return shipping and reimburse me via CHECK (who does that in the world of online retail?) but I deem this unacceptable. There's no reason I should have to pay then wait for reimbursement. If the seller wants back what they sent me which I did not order they can send a call tag.

So I disputed w Amex and was immediately credited. Sorry iSave, you get what you deserve and I tried to be reasonable (truthfully I'm under NO obligation to return something I did not order - I ordered what was described and pictured as OEM Milwaukee batteries - silence is not acceptance).

Anyway I'll retain the evidence for a few weeks but I'll eventually be giving away these 6.0 copies. I don't want them & won't use them.

Seems like a good opportunity for a quick tear down and photo shoot.
