I have a Milwaukee 6021-21 (electric) random orbital sander & am in need of a replacement pad. Velcro backing on sanding discs doesn't stick on the replacement pad that came with the kit. The replacement pad is basically a textured "hard" surface, not like the grippy original.
I've seen some replacements online, but I'm not sure if they're grippy (like the original) or hard plastic like this one.
Have any of you guys replaced the pads on these sanders before?

No one at all? I’m surprise no one else ran into this before.
I ended up ordering a replacement hook & loop pad from a local Milwaukee service center.

Did you buy OEM or cheap replacement?

Typically these can be modified to fit other sanders, holes are easy to relocate in my experience.

I would either try to go straight Milwaukee OEM replacement or from a reputable brand (3M, Mirka, Bosch, Rockler?) and modify to fit.

of note- that Milwaukee is the worst sander ive ever used, and ive ran dozens of sanders professionally. Between the vibration, ergonomics, noise, and rough pattern its worth looking to replace depending on your pad cost/time?

Yikes
Maybe different sanding consumables will stick better?

If changing consumables and/or velcro pads doesnt work, ditch that pos and get yourself a Bosch or Makita.
